Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Tips: DraftKings Nov. 26th
Well, Ive got some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that it’s Monday and most of us have to start the new work week and head to our jobs.
The good news however is when we arrive back home from our jobs we can settle into some Monday night NBA (and that other thing that they have going on Monday night, something to do with football, I think) and make a little cash doing it too. There’s 8 games tonight on the slate and here are your top value plays to help bring you to the cashiers window.
Brandon Knight PG Detroit Pistons ($5400 Salary at DraftKings) – Knight is another one of the players that I was yapping about a week and a half ago regarding turning the corner and boosting his fantasy production up. Looks like he reads this column (If he doesn’t he should, I heard he’s not that great of a fantasy player) but more importantly he listened. Brandon is coming off of a great offensive game against the New York Knicks in which he scored 21 points while logging in 34 minutes. I can promise you that in this match-up tonight Knight will see another 34 minutes but I’m guessing more. It looks as if the coaching staff have finally realized that the longer Brandon is in the game the longer he has to do more damage and on our end more fantasy points. I’m personally looking forward to this game and waiting to see the Knight-Lillard match-up, should be exciting although look for Knight to reign supreme.
Projection: 20 pts / 10 ast / 5 reb / 1 stl
Andre Iguodala SG Denver Nuggets ($7300 Salary at DraftKings) – At times its as if just Iggy’s treys are impressive enough but he adds so much more which spikes his overall value up. The last three nights Andre’s point production hasn’t rien, it’s sky rocked. I mean, I’m not trying to be dramatic here but he has been tearing it up and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. Iguodala has become the heart of the Nuggets over the last few games and has seemed to have found his shooting groove, to say the least. From single-digit scoring to scoring 18, 29 & 29 points I believe it’s safe to say that Iggy has found his groove. Start him tonight because this party willl continue into this game.
Projection: 24 pts / 4 ast / 11 reb / 1 blk / 2 stl
Rudy Gay SF Memphis Grizzlies ($7700 Salary at DraftKings) – Here’s a mid-range priced option that you need tonight in your lineup. Rudy is matched up well tonight, real well. He’ll have Gee on him all night which will present a plethora of opportunities. If that wasn’t good news enough, then I’m happy to inform you that Gay has been on a tear as of late. There will be no containment within the confines of Rudy’s production here. This has all the makings of a ‘stat-sheet stuffer’ type of game for Gay. Look for Rudy to post up nice numbers here that are well above his norm.
Projections: 22 pts / 5 ast / 9 reb / 2 blk / 2 stl
Tristan Thompson PF Cleveland Cavaliers ($5300 Salary at DraftKings) – When starting Thompson in your line-up, always be aware that although his average minute log in time is 27 minutes per start, he’s been known to grab extended minutes. This should be the case here tonight when he faces the extremely hot Memphis Grizzlies. At Thompson’s price he is a steal for the production that you’ll receive from him. As I stated earlier, Tristan may not get to log in 35 minutes a night but with only playing during his 25-plus minute games he still seems to post up double-doubles like it’s nobody’s business. Plus, with the low price tag on Thompson, that will allow a few more cap dollars to invest on a stud or two mid-range players.
Projection: 14 pts / 3 ast / 12 reb / 1 blk / 1 stl
Anderson Varejao C Cleveland Cavaliers ($7000 Salary at DraftKings) – Here’s another player who I’ve been riding for a week and he is paying off each night that I start him. Anderson is putting up fantasy numbers so well, it’s worth writing home about. He is coming off of his fourth double-double in a row and for my starting line-up I’m all in on Varejao tonight. He brings so much into each game as the daily fantasy world is concerned. Points, assists, rebounds, steals and my all-time favorite, mucho minutos. I’m calling it now that this evening Anderson ends up with the second most (if not the most) fantasy points at the center position this evening. He is a leader of this team and you can see the intensity level rise each time he plays. He faces a hot Memphis squad tonight but will focus on the manner at hand, that matter being to produce us as many fantasy points as possible. As good as they have been though, the Grizzlies won’t be able to shut down this entire Cav team, let alone Varejao.
Projection: 19 pts / 4 ast / 19 reb / 1 stl
