Another NBA Weekend Edition is here and we’ll be focusing on the value plays within this 14-game weekend. The key game I’ll be watching is on Saturday. I’m curious to see if the Grizzlies can stop their losing streak when facing the Utah Jazz who by the way are 9-1 at home. Well, without further ado (I’ve always wanted to say that) I give you your value plays for this weekend.
Mike Conley PG Memphis Grizzlies (Sat) (Draft on FanDuel Today & Play For HUGE Cash!) – The Memphis Grizzlies are now on a 3-game losing skid and I’m looking towards Conley to help right that ship tonight. Lately Conley has been somewhat of a roller-coaster ride at times. Mike has chalked up double-digit points in 10 of his last 13 and he shouldn’t have that difficult of a time getting number 11 in this match-up. Last month while facing the Jazz, Mike put up a solid stat line having scored 16 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal all while logging in 34 minutes of playing time. Conley is still fairly priced on all sites and is still on the low side of the ledger. Plus, he is a cheaper option than Jennings and can usually put up just as many fantasy points as his teammate. Low price and high value always makes for a happy fantasy player.
Projection: 18 pts / 6 ast / 4 reb / 1 blk / 3 stl
More PG Projections for Saturday 12/15/12:
- Damian Lillard PG Memphis Grizzlies (Sun)
Projection: 22 pts / 7 ast / 4 reb / 2 stl
- Jeremy Lin PG Houston Rockets (Sun)
Projection: 15 pts / 7 ast / 4 reb / 2 stl
Tyreke Evans SG San Antonio Spurs (Sun) (Draft on FanDuel Today & Play For HUGE Cash!) – Well, Keith Smart finally got, well, smart. Smart realized that is was a better case scenario in starting Evans against the Thunder than letting him ride the pine. Evans responded in a huge way and contributed a little in all categories once again. While logging in 35 minutes Tyreke scored 21 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals in the Spurs loss to the Thunder. Tyreke should have quite a match-up and offensive production as he’ll have Iguodala shadowing him all night and that will only benefit Evans more. Evans comes out of this meeting posting great numbers for the price tag that’s attached to him. Start Tyreke and don’t look back.
Projection: 21 pts / 3 ast / 5 reb / 3 stl
More SG Projections for Saturday 12/15/12:
- C.J. Miles SG Cleveland Cavaliers (Sat)
Projection: 23 pts / 1 ast / 4 reb / 2 stl
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Charlotte Bobcats (Sat) (Draft on FanDuel Today & Play For HUGE Cash!) – If you are in the need of a starting SF for your line-up who not only brings value and huge upside but won’t break your cap bank? Then Kidd-Gilchrist could be who you’re searching for. So far in Michaels’ first season he truly doesn’t disappoint. I don’t think that he knows how to disappoint. Each and every time that I have used him in my line-up he continues to come through for me. Michael hasn’t seen a double-double since his match-up versus the Milwaukee Bucks five games ago. I’m willing to state that Kidd-Gilchrist posts up another one here. He has been playing with more aggressiveness and you can’t ignore all of the time that he spends on the floor. The more floor time he registers the more fantasy points he accumulates. Plain and simple.
Projection: 15 pts / 4 ast / 8 reb / 2 blk / 1 stl
More SF Projections for Saturday 12/15/12:
- Chandler Parsons SF Houston Rockets (Sun)
Projection: 17 pts / 5 ast / 8 reb / 2 stl
Patrick Patterson PF Houston Rockets (Sun) (Draft on FanDuel Today & Play For HUGE Cash!) – I’m high on Patterson Sunday because I believe that the Toronto Raptors will be the cure for Patricks ailment. Although Patterson has been anything but cold, I can see him completely dominating tonight as he shouldn’t be in that much distress. Not with Bargnani on him all evening. This is more of a gut play and I feel that Patrick could come close to putting up the most fantasy points in this particular game then he has yet to date. Patterson blew these same Raptors away last month having scored 22 points, 1 assist, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. The Lord knows that Toronto loves giving up opportunities so who are we not to take advantage of that. Start him and look for top production from Patterson tonight.
Projection: 23 pts / 2 ast / 7 reb / 3 blk / 1 stl
Greg Monroe C Detroit Pistons (Sat) (Draft on FanDuel Today & Play For HUGE Cash!) – I’ve been personally been waiting for this match-up for the last 4 days. Start Monroe, he kills the Pacers. Greg has posted up great stat lines in the past against Indiana and I see no reason to believe that he won’t do it again. His recent average versus the Pacers is well above his norm and he’ll most definitely see a rise in his overall stats after this one is all said and done. Monroe’s most recent digits against Indiana is as follows: 15 points, 2 assists, 10 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal and keep in mind that is all while logging in an average of 30 minutes. I’ll be starting Monroe tonight and I’ll also be waiting for the dividends to be rolling in and you can bet that they will, hopefully in Biblical proportions.
Projection: 20 pts / 3 ast / 11 reb / 2 stl
Center Projections for Sunday 12/16/12:
- J.J. Hickson C Portland Trail Blazers (Sun)
Projection: 15 pts / 1 ast / 11 reb / 1 blk / 1 stl
- DeMarcus Cousins C Sacramento Kings (Sun)
