DraftKings Fantasy Basketball Tips November 23rd
Well, we survived the annual stuffing of ourselves and watched more football than we know what to do with (Is that even possible?) now we are ready once again for an NBA Friday. Let’s dive in head first and get right back to that cashiers window this evening.
Greivis Vasquez PG New Orleans Hornets ($5500 Salary at DraftKings) – Everything about this kid is a plus as far as daily fantasy is concerned. In fact, he’s one of the best kept secrets in daily fantasy, period. Not for long though, as soon as your opponent sees this tonight then the cat’s out of the bag. Greivis has everything one would want when setting up your line-up. He produces on a nightly basis, he’s inexpensive, he logs in 30-plus minutes each night, he’s inexpensive, he’s a 3-tool player, he’s inexpensive. Oh yeah, did I mention that he’s inexpensive? For his price, you are getting one of, if not, the best valued-player at the PG position tonight. Big digits coming Vasquezs’ way this evening.
Projection: 18 pts / 10 ast / 5 reb / 2 stl
Tyreke Evans SG Sacramento Kings ($5800 Salary at DraftKings) – If there were ever a time to grab Evans for your line-up, that ‘time’ would be tonight. Tyrekes recent history (last 4 games) against the Jazz tells the tale. He is averaging a robust 23 points per start versus Utah and to help our cause, Evans has been on a gradual point scoring tear. So now would be the perfect scenario to load up on Evans. Tyreke is coming off of an 18-point game against the Los Angeles Kobes and has yet registered a double-double. He will tonight though. Evans has hovered a few times with the magis numbers but tonight shows promise versus a Utah team that he has succeeded against each time he’s faced them. Why fix something that’s not broken?
Projection: 17 pts / 4 ast / 11 reb / 1 blk / 3 stl
Alonzo Gee SF Cleveland Cavaliers ($5200 Salary at DraftKings) – There has been a nice trend brewing with Alonzo lately. Gee has been getting more minutes per start and as the minutes gradually increase so does his fantasy production. Gee is now averaging 38 minutes in his last three starts and it’s paying off in a big way having registered 15, 17 & 14 points in those nights. Tonight he’ll face the Orlando Magic and Alonzo matches up well here. He’ll get his shots but more importantly he’ll have the opportunity to grab more rebounds. Which could only mean one thing right? Right. Alonzo will get his first double-double of the year as he is fully rested and chomping at the bit, that bit of course being the Magic. Alonzo tops the double-digit mark in rebounds tonight. Aw, Gee.
Projections: 17 pts / 3 ast / 11 reb / 1 blk / 2 stl
Sege Ibaka PF Oklahoma City Thunder ($5900 Salary at DraftKings) – Dear readers, I present to you one of, if not the best, high-valued option at PF on tonights card. I mean seriously, what’s not to like? I have played him virtually every single night and for good reason. I have been personally referring to Serge as the “Swatmeister” as each night comes and goes, he’s getting me double-digit points in blocks. As most of you know the sites that offer up 2 points per block are key to a player like Ibaka and yourself. If he gets you an average of 5 to 6 blocks a game well my friend, that’s 10-12 points , easy math. Add that into the mix along with his points, assists, rebounds, steals and especially his price and you have yourself a fantasy goldmine. Plus, the 33 minutes he’s logging in each night only gives him more opportunities. Start him tonight in everything that you’ve got going.
Projection: 17 pts / 1 ast / 10 reb / 5 blk / 1 stl
Omer Asik C Houston Rockets ($5800 Salary at DraftKings) – After an extremeley impressive 5 game run of double-doubles Omer has cooled off in the last three consecutive games. The daily fantasy player knows and understands that this is a great opportunity to grab some great value at a low price. Now Asik has already been priced at below his worth and now we get him at an even better price. Not only that but the mere fact that he has been playing well below his average (which by the way is better than most players best production) makes starting him that more valuable. You see, Omer , when rested has come out and destroyed the opposition and has come up with his best fantasy production in those instances. Rest assure that Omer finds himself back on track and will post up Asik stat line (ya knew that was comin’, didn’t ya?) against the Knicks tonight.
Projection: 17 pts / 2 ast / 14 reb / 2 blk / 1 stl
