FanDuel NBA Lineup Tips Wednesday 1/9/13

fanduel-nba-strategyWell, we made it to NBA Wednesday and we’ll be setting our sights and investing our cash into the eleven games that are scheduled for tonight. If you’re looking for a game that may provide the offensive fireworks then keep an eye on the Lakers / Spurs match-up. Without anymore delay, let’s get to the value-plays that will make you some cash to help with those holiday bills that we’d all like to forget about. Let’s get to your plays.

Greivis Vasquez PG New Orleans Hornets (Add To Your FANDUEL Lineup Tonight) – Well let’s see. Vasquez is sitting on nine straight double-digit scoring performances keeping in mind that 5 of those nine games were double-doubles and he ‘hovered’ over another two of those. I have been personally taking Vasquez each and every night where I feel he is of value, the guy never disappoints and easily brings in two times his salary and do you know why that is? It’s because his price never moves. Vasquezs’ price tag is steady and has not remotely caught up with his value and I don’t see that changing here. Things will remain the same in this game as Greivis will face these same Rockets that he did last week in which he scored 15 points, 14 assists and 3 rebounds. Starting Vasquez is one of the safest and reliable decisions that you could make tonight for your line-up. Make that smart move, his price is steady on all sites.

–> Projection: 17 pts / 11 ast / 3 reb / 2 stl

Klay Thompson SG Golden State Warriors (Add To Your FANDUEL Lineup Tonight) – Looking at the SG position for tonight and there is literally a ton of options that are loaded with value. Thompson seems to be the likely candidate who I’ll be starting tonight for sure. Klay is yet again coming off of a great night of production as he loaded up the stat sheet having scored a team-high 14 points (4-of-10 FG, 3-of-7 3Pt, 3-of-4 FT) along with 2 assists, 1 rebound and 2 blocks in 30 minutes of floor time Saturday night in the Warriors loss to the Clippers. Thompson will be going against the Memphis Grizzlies this evening, a team that Klay has already done well against this season. Now, here’s where the value comes into play. Klays outing versus the Grizzlies came in the second game of the season (November 2nd) and since then Klay’s daily stat line has ballooned. Given the fact that his points, assists and rebounds are not even close to what he was averaging in that match-up in November, we’ll look for a surge in production average here as Thompson will, without a doubt, get you and I a minimum of 30 fps tonight. Easily too.

–> Projection: 19 pts / 3 ast / 6 reb / 2 blk / 2 stl

Chandler Parsons SF Houston Rockets (Add To Your FANDUEL Lineup Tonight) – There is a mystery in the sport of professional basketball that men throughout the world have yet to figure out. It’s a mystery unlike any other. Some could say that this subject matter should just be filed away along with Roswell and Sasquatch. This mystery that I’m speaking of is this ‘illness’ that seems to spread throughout the NBA every year. What has literally blown my mind is how these players come off the sick list after dealing with the flu, cold or whatever else is out there and their first game back, BOOM, beast-mode numbers. Well, it’s the same ‘ol same ‘ol for Chandler here. The first day back from the flu and what does he do? He puts up 32 fantasy points (20 pts / 3 ast / 5 reb / 1 blk / 1 stl) and he made it look easy. Parsons will take on the Hornets tonight and Chandler should have his way with them as he has twice already this season. Look for Chandler to go above and beyond his average digits against New Orleans, which by the way are 11.5 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Be sure to start him as he is another player whose pricetag has yet to catch up to his value.

–> Projection: 18 pts / 5 ast / 9 reb / 1 stl

Thaddeus Young PF Philadelphia 76ers (Add To Your FANDUEL Lineup Tonight) – Young looks to take on the Toronto Raptors tonight and I’m looking forward for history to mirror image itself in regards to his previous meeting against the dinosaurs. Way back in the day (a few days before this past Thanksgiving) Thad met up with the Raptors and produced against them like he always does. Young put up a solid stat line in that game having scored 18 points, 2 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Young is by far, the safest and most reliable choice at the PF position tonight. Please don’t make the mistake of not starting him. Ain’t worth it.

–> Projection: 18 pts / 1 ast / 8 reb / 2 blk / 3 stl

Nikola Vucevic C Orlando Magic (Add To Your FANDUEL Lineup Tonight) – I love Vucevic in this situation tonight. His price has been steady without any real change. Remarkable, considering the fact that Nikola can ‘beast’ with the best of them. There is too much (Well, I guess you can really never have enough) value with this kid tonight. Vucevic is on the verge of registering his 5th double-double in a row and I have nothing but confidence that he’ll get that fifth double-double tonight against the Nuggets. Note: Just an FYI but it was a real toss-up between both of the Nikola’s tonight both will have great games as both are in marshmallow match-ups. Take either one that will fit into your starting line-up tonight. Great value in both players.

–> Projection: 16 pts / 4 ast / 17 reb / 2 blk / 1 stl

Projection: 25 pts / 1 ast / 16 reb / 1 blk / 1 stl

– Arron Afflalo SG Orlando Magic
Projection: 26 pts / 3 ast / 4 reb / 1 stl

– Tristan Thompson PF Cleveland Cavaliers
Projection: 15 pts / 2 ast / 16 reb / 1 blk / 1 stl

– Jeremy Lin PG Houston Rockets
Projection: 18 pts / 7 ast / 5 reb / 3 stl
