Is this really the game of the year for NFL betting fans? If you ask anyone in the AFC, you’ll probably hear a resounding “yes.” The New York Jets and New England Patriots are both in great shape to win the AFC this year and go to the Super Bowl, but there is probably only a 50/50 chance that one of the two will get the job done. One will get a huge leg up on the other on Monday Night Football, as the winner of this game will be a game up in the division and a game up on the field in the conference with just a quarter of the regular season to go.
The Pats are favored by 3.5, but is it warranted? Check out the answers to these three questions to find out.
Jets vs. Patriots Betting Key #1: Can Tom Brady handle the New York blitz attack?
Brady has been able to figure out the best defenses that there are in the NFL over the course of his career, but for whatever reason, he really hasn’t had much success against the Jets since HC Rex Ryan came aboard. The defensive mastermind always has new things up his sleeve for his biggest annual challenge, and if Ryan pulls something out of his hat that Brady and HC Bill Belichick have never seen before, it could make for a long, long evening.

Jets vs. Patriots Betting Key #2: The “Sanchize” has really done well this year in big time games. Does he have another one in him?
We aren’t all that convinced that the New England defense is really all that good, so the question is whether Mark Sanchez and the offense can take advantage of it for New York. Sanchez has beaten more difficult defenses than this in dire situations both at home and on the road, and he has the tools with Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards on the outside to be a real difference maker in this game.
Jets vs. Patriots Betting Key #3: What’s going to give: New England’s perfect home record or New York’s perfect road record?
It’s not often this late in the season that you see a team with an undefeated record at home, and it’s really not that often that a team is still perfect on the road. The Jets have played in some tough, tough locations, but the Patriots have already welcomed in some talented teams like the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens to Gillette Stadium.
To answer the third question: We’ll take the Jets on the road, thanks. We’re convinced that Sanchez is good enough paired with all of these offensive weapons to do some real damage, just as he did the first time around against New England. New York gets the season sweep of the Pats and basically puts the AFC East on lockdown with a big time victory on Monday Night Football.
New York 26 – New England 20

nice call mike
HAHAHAHA YEAH great call!!!!!! 45-3 Pats, wow you were real close… Jets are a joke and have basically played no one. The pats almost never lose to the same team twice, you call yourself an expert and you missed an obvious one. Just quit now and stop costing people money.
Do us all a favor, Mike. Call your local bookie and bet 50 thousand on the Jets next week, no matter what the line is. That way, when he calls in your debt, we won’t have to read anymore asinine analysis. Brady has won about 30 straight regular season starts at home (give or take a couple) and the Jets secondary is the most overrated in the NFL. Revis thinks he’s the best corner in the game. He couldn’t carry Charles Woodson’s jock!
