Well, we were unable to build on our momentum from our 9-3-1 ATS week in Week 5 as we went just 5-7-1 ATS last weekend, although we did call the 49ers upsetting the Lions. Let’s look for some improvement in Week 7.
Chicago (-2) over Tampa Bay – The Bears can stop the run after all, provided they stuff the box with no respect for the pass. Bucs’ quarterback Josh Freeman has more interceptions than touchdowns, so don’t expect much from Earnest Graham. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Carolina (-2½) over Washington – Both teams are off of disappointing losses, but the Panthers can score points and are 4-2 ATS, while the Redskins are having a quarterback controversy and couldn’t even run on the Eagles. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
San Diego (-2) over NY Jets – The Chargers are coming off of a bye, so their typical late season charge may start much earlier this season, while the Jets were very sloppy vs. an inept Dolphins team on Monday night. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Seattle (+3 -125) over Cleveland (Upset?) – The Seahawks are coming off a bye after upsetting the Giants in New York, and they should find a way to shut down an erratic Cleveland offense that could be without Peyton Hillis with the extra preparation time. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Houston (+3 +105) over Tennessee (Upset?) – Tennessee is the team coming off the bye here, but we don’t think it will matter as the Texans are the better team desperate for a win after two straight losses. The winner will take sole possession of first place in the AFC South. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Denver (+1½) over Miami (Upset?) – This is the second game this week that has a team off a bye (Denver) facing a team that played Monday (Miami), and we liked the Broncos here even without that edge. Tebow could succeed in his first start. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Detroit (-3-125) over Atlanta – We expected the Lions to be flat last week and they were. We now look for a strong bounce-back game from Detroit vs. an overrated Falcons team with a struggling pass defense. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Kansas City (+4) over Oakland (Upset?) – The Chiefs won two straight games before their bye week and they are now underdogs vs. either a bungling Kyle Boller or a rusty Carson Palmer. Either way, this is our Upset Special. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Pittsburgh (-3½) over Arizona – Yes, the Steelers do not look as good as last year, but this still seems like a cheap line vs. a Cardinals outfit that had lost four straight with the struggling Kevin Kolb heading into their bye. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Dallas (-12) over St. Louis – The Rams had two weeks to prepare for the Packers last week, who came out listless in what was a breather for them, and still lost 24-3 while the Cowboys nearly had the Patriots beaten. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
Green Bay (-8) over Minnesota – The Packers will be much more focused for this division game after a sleep-walking effort vs. the Rams, so this is a bad spot for Christian Ponder to make his debut as a starter. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
New Orleans (-14) over Indianapolis – The Saints should be in an ornery mood after losing at Tampa Bay last week and they are 2-0 at home this season winning by an average of 12.0 points. This should be uglier. (Live Odds – Expert Picks – Bet %)
