Will there be an overtime (No: -1200)

During a typical NFL regular season, just above four percent of the games will end up going into overtime. There has yet to be an overtime in the 43 previous Super Bowls. While the price for this wager is very steep, the numbers indicate that is highly unlikely for any NFL game to go into overtime.

Will Either Team Score 3 Straight Times w/o Other Team Scoring (Yes: -170)

In a game that features the highest total in the history of the Super Bowl, there will likely be plenty of points on the scoreboard. Both teams have explosive offenses that are capable of getting on big runs. In the playoffs, the Colts scored three straight times against Baltimore and on four consecutive occasions against the Jets. New Orleans accomplished this prop twice in the same game to open the postseason against Arizona. One of these squads should be able to get on a scoring spurt on Super Bowl Sunday.

Will Both Teams Make a 33 Yard or Longer Field Goals (Yes: +170)

While this prop usually fails to occur in a Super Bowl, both kickers in this game will likely get a few chances to connect in what is expected to be a shootout. New Orleans kicker Garrett Hartley has hit on field goals of 40 yards or longer in both playoff games for the Saints. Veteran Indianapolis kicker Matt Stover is one of the top scorers in the history of the league. He has made five field goals during the postseason. Stover made two field goals of 33 yards or longer against Baltimore in the Divisional playoffs.

Drew Brees – Total Touchdown Passes Thrown (Over 1.5: -210)

Brees averaged slightly over two touchdown throws per game in the regular season with 34 TD strikes in 15 games. He has thrown for three TD passes in each of the Saints playoff games during the postseason. Out of 17 total games, Brees has passed for at least two touchdowns in 11 contests during the regular season and playoffs. Against an average Indianapolis defense that finished 18th in the league in total defense during the regular season, Brees should be able to obtain this prop in a shootout against Peyton Manning.

Peyton Manning – Total Completions (Over 25.5: -115)

In the ultimate game, the Colts aren’t going to abandon their basic offensive philosophy. Indianapolis was 2nd in the NFL in passing offense during the regular season while ranking last in the league in rushing. The club will want to put the ball in Peyton Manning’s hands with everything on the line. On the 14 occasions during the regular season when he played the entire game, Manning averaged 26 completions per game. He has completed at least 26 passes in each postseason game. Manning should be able to feast on a New Orleans pass defense (26th in NFL) that is pretty suspect. The Saints allowed Brett Favre to complete 28 passes in the NFC title game. Manning should be able to reach his average again on Super Bowl Sunday.
